This Notepad trick will make computer to speak whatever you type in the provided text-box. To use this trick, follow these steps:
- Open Notepad
- Copy & paste this command:
Dim message, sapi
message=InputBox(“What do you want me to say?”,”Speak to Me”)
Set sapi=CreateObject(“sapi.spvoice”)
sapi.Speak message
message=InputBox(“What do you want me to say?”,”Speak to Me”)
Set sapi=CreateObject(“sapi.spvoice”)
sapi.Speak message
- Save the file as speak.vbs.
- Double-click the file and it will open a prompt. Enter the sentence you want your computer to speak
- Click OK and Notepad will speak the sentence for you.
Note - In case, if you encounter error, re-type all the quotes and this notepad trick will work fine.

ReplyDeleteya some tricks don`t work on windows 8 if this trick works on windows 8 all this means is the windows script host does not recognize a certain character presented in the command-line. Dont worry you’re not the first person to encounter this “problem”, i personally encountered this problem myself but have since fixed it and now the program works fine. If i rmmbr correctly character 14 in the second line is a ” but when pasted into notepad for some reason turns into a * all u hav to do is delete that digit and replace it with a ” if u continue to see this msg just find the digit it says there’s a problem with and replace it with what u think its supposed to b based on what i’ve just explained ;) also if u find ur having problems with the (msgbox “…”) just put msgbox (“insert your preferred text here”) where it says msgbox …
